Taylor Swift is probably the most popular singer on the planet right now.
The fact that she has millions of avid fans across the globe who support each one of her endeavors is a testament to this notion.
So is the fact that her 149-show, five-continent “Eras Tour” concert series is the only tour to ever gross $1 billion in ticket sales.
It’s not just the Swifties who continue to clamor for their idol, though.
The same can be said for musicians across the industry who aspire to have some sort of collaboration with the multi-Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter.
This is exactly the case for rock legend Carlos Santana, who recently revealed his big plans to make new music with Swift. In an interview on TalkShopLive, the 77-year-old music icon expressed his desire to work on a new album with the “Fortnight” singer.
“I want to do ‘No Woman, No Cry,’ (by Bob Marley and the Wailers), ‘Just Like a Woman’ (by) Bob Dylan and ‘Natural Woman,’ a Carole King song,” Santana said, via the San Francisco Chronicle. “I wanna do an album with Taylor Swift that validates, celebrates the female side of God.”
“I think that for many many centuries, women have gotten a bum rap from the male guys because how they portray her in the Bible,” Santana continued.
“To me it’s like no, no, no, I’ve got to get together with my sister and take the female queen goddess to a whole other level of deep appreciation and validation.”
Santana did not reveal any more details about his plans with Swift, but there’s no denying that a potential collaboration between these two superstars would be huge.
Santana just released his latest album, “Sentient,” on Friday, but the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has already made it clear what he wants to do with his next project.
As for Swift, there have been reports that the 35-year-old has been “making music” amid rumors of a potential album launch towards the end of 2025.
At this point, however, nothing has been confirmed.
For now, Swift has been happily spending time with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The two have reportedly been vacationing abroad and within the United States as they take advantage of the lull in their otherwise extremely busy schedules.
