BREAKING: Wife of Chiefs Owner Responds to Accusations of Taylor Swift Nepotism

Taylor Swift just may be the most polarizing figure involved with the NFL. The 14-time Grammy winner often shows up to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and the occasional road venue to support her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, sometimes to the dismay of those watching at home.

The NFL isn’t shy about embracing Swift and her massive following, which has significantly impacted its bottom line for the better, so while some fans protest and complain about the amount of air time Swift gets during Chiefs games (and during the occasional hype video), don’t expect it to change as long as she keeps coming around.

It’s clear there’s a contingency of people who aren’t OK with Swift encroaching on the NFL’s territory.

The league and the Chiefs have been accused of pandering more to Swifties than their own fans, and anytime either do anything pro-Swift, there’s typically some sort of visceral reaction from someone.

Case in point: some of the Instagram comments on a recent post from Tavia Hunt, the wife of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt.

Tavia posted several photos from KC’s 30-24 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on “Monday Night Football,” which included a specially wrapped Kelce-themed gift for Swift. View the original article to see embedded media.

Accusing the Hunts of wearing rose-colored glasses for Swift, one fan asked Tavia why the pop star got preferential treatment.

“I’m curious if you treat all of the players spouses/girlfriends equally, with the same level of gifts, suite tickets and attention?” they asked. “Because if not, then this is giving major suck-up vibes.

I’m just saying what I know a lot of your players’ wives and girlfriends are thinking but not saying out loud.”

Instead of glossing over the comment, Tavia set the record straight, shutting down any possible speculation of jealousy between the wives of other Chiefs’ players and Swift.

“We actually hosted all the players’ wives and girlfriends in our box last night for the game,” Tavia responded. “

We serve the community together every other week and have gifting and special events as well.”

Though Swift is the one who’s talked about because of her celebrity status, it appears the Chiefs took care of the rest of the players’ wives and girlfriends just the same.
