Arsenal Begins Talks to Sign “King of Kings” Striker Surpassing Sesko
Arsenal has officially initiated discussions regarding a potential summer acquisition of a highly sought-after striker valued at £44 million. Reports suggest that several Premier League clubs are also expressing keen interest in securing the player’s services.
Arsenal’s Striker Hunt Gains Momentum
Mikel Arteta is actively intensifying his search for a top-class forward to bolster Arsenal’s attacking options. Sources indicate that the manager has a strong preference for Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, with the club considering a staggering £101 million bid for the Swedish striker.
However, Isak is not the only name on Arsenal’s shortlist. The North London side is also monitoring RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. Additionally, Arsenal appears to have gained an edge over Liverpool in the race to sign Inter Milan’s Marcus Thuram.
Fans are eager for a high-profile signing to strengthen the attack, though some unconventional targets have also surfaced. Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike are reportedly being evaluated as potential additions.
Moreover, Arsenal has expressed interest in a former Premier League striker, with reports from Italy revealing that the club has made initial inquiries about Fiorentina’s Moise Kean.
Although still in the early stages, Arsenal may face competition from Premier League rivals such as Newcastle United and West Ham United, both of whom have reportedly opened preliminary talks. Tottenham Hotspur has also been linked with the player in the past.
Kean has a €52 million (£44 million) release clause in his contract with Fiorentina, but it remains uncertain whether any of the interested clubs will be willing to meet that valuation for the former Everton forward.
Moise Kean: A Striker Outshining Sesko
Since his move to Fiorentina last summer, Kean has enjoyed a remarkable resurgence, scoring 20 goals across all competitions—three more than Arsenal target Sesko. His efforts were further recognized when he won a Goal of the Month award for a stunning strike in February.
Football analyst Mina Rzouki has referred to the 25-year-old as a “king of kings,” highlighting his substantial progress since returning to Serie A. However, concerns linger regarding his previous stint in the Premier League.
During his time at Everton, Kean managed only two goals in 32 league appearances, and he also struggled in Italy, going scoreless for Juventus last season.
Given these factors, Arsenal might be better off prioritizing a striker with a proven track record at the highest level. Isak’s impressive performances for Newcastle this season could make him the ideal candidate to lead the line for the Gunners.
