Nunez, who joined Liverpool from Benfica in 2022 for a club-record fee of €85 million, has struggled to meet expectations. As a result, the Reds are reportedly open to letting him leave. With only seven goals in all competitions this season, he has failed to deliver the impact Liverpool had anticipated when they signed him. Speaking about his situation, Nunez recently told El Pais: “I’m happy focusing on the national team and enjoying every moment. I’m not someone who gives up just because I’m not playing regularly. I know I haven’t been at my best, but I’m determined to keep working hard and improving.”
