As Prince William continues his quick trip to South Africa to celebrate the Earthshot Prize awards, royal fans have noticed that he’s been wearing a Taylor Swift-approved friendship bracelet. As a Swiftie, it’s not surprising that he wore it to the superstar’s concert earlier this year in London, but it is a little more unexpected that the Prince of Wales has continued to wear the sentimental bracelet with his wardrobe of tailored sportcoats and button-ups. People reports that William said he’s wearing the bracelet as a sweet nod to his daughter, Princess Charlotte.

“Well, this is a relic, if you like, from a Taylor Swift concert that my daughter decided that she wanted to create a bracelet for,” William said when he asked about the colorful accessory. “She gave it to me when I came away. So, I promised that I’d wear it and try not to lose it while I was out here.”

William’s bracelet is blue and features beads that spell out “Papa.”

William and his children Charlotte and Prince George attended Swift’s Eras Tour stop in London on June 21, which happened to be the heir’s 42nd birthday. In addition to footage of the prince dancing to “Shake It Off” going viral online, he also took a moment to hang with the singer’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

The NFL tight end opened up about meeting the prince on “New Heights,” saying that the royal kids were impeccably behaved. Kelce noted that the royals were an “absolute delight.”
