If Manchester City are to win their Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon, they will almost probably need to keep prolific striker Viktor Gyokeres quiet.
The Swedish international forward is one of the hottest properties in global football, because to his incredible goalscoring record with the Portuguese champions.
The 26-year-old scored 43 goals in all competitions last season, five more than City’s prolific scorer Erling Haaland, and he is off to a flying start this season as well.
Gyokeres has scored 20 goals in 16 appearances in all competitions this season, and his success has prompted speculation that he might follow Sporting boss Ruben Amorim to Manchester United.
He has also been linked with Arsenal, and he will pose a significant challenge to City’s defenders when the two teams meet at the Jose Alvalade Stadium.
