Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco were once the first people to show up to Taylor Swift’s award show after party.

According to People , the pair were in the early stages of their relationship and decided to attend a soiree thrown by the “Karma” songstress. When they showed up, they realized they were the first guests to walk through the door.

“What was our first party that we ever went to?” Blanco asked his fiancée during a recent interview promoting their upcoming joint album. Gomez replied, zooming in on the party her bestie threw.

“I don’t know if this was the first but it was actually really funny . As a couple, we went to Taylor’s party after some awards show.” The Only Murders in the Building actress revealed she left feeling embarrassed because arriving on time is “apparently” not what “cool people” do.

“I don’t know it was kind of cute, but I was mortified. Apparently, cool people don’t show up to parties on time.”

The producer was next to offer his opinion on arriving early to parties, explaining that he’s not typically one to show up on time, except when he’s with Gomez. He also revealed that their romance was still under wraps when they attended the bash together.

“We’re the first people at every single party when I go with you. You show up when like my mother shows up to a party. No, I thought you were gonna talk about the fact that no one knew we were dating and we were hiding .”

Blanco and the “Who Says” hitmaker are gearing up to release their first joint album, I Said I Love You First , out March 21!
