Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is celebrating his 66th birthday on Tuesday.
Coming off his third Super Bowl in the last five years, Reid has been receiving birthday wishes and salutations from around the football world and beyond.
“Happy birthday to the best head coach in the NFL and the greatest head coach in Chiefs history,” one Kansas City Fan said.
“Happy Birthday to the legendary coach, Andy Reid! Wishing you a day filled with joy, laughter, and all the touchdowns your heart desires,” the official Special Olympics Missouri account said. “Thank you for your leadership, passion, and dedication to the game. Here’s to another year of success! #ChiefsKingdom #SOMOUnity.”
“Today I learned I share a birthday with Andy Reid. Happy birthday Coach!” another commenter said.
“Happy Birthday to the incredible #AndyReid aka the #GOAT,” a fourth person chimed in.
“Happy Birthday Big Red #AndyReid,” another Chiefs fan said.
Thus far, 2024 has been a great year for Reid. Not only did his team win their second straight Super Bowl, but he was also named to throw out the first pitch at Kansas City Royals opening day on March 28.
There were some questions going into the Super Bowl about whether Reid would be retiring, but he made it clear he intends to chase a three-peat in the fall.
“Yeah — I haven’t had time to think about it, but yeah, yeah [I’ll be back next year],” Reid said following the Super Bowl. “Yeah, sure, huh? I mean, I get asked that — I’m mad at [Bill] Belichick and Pete [Carroll] because now I get asked all those questions.”
