Former USC Trojans star wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster made a significant impact during his early years in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In 2018, he showcased his potential with an impressive 111 receptions for 1,426 yards and seven touchdowns, earning his first—and so far only—Pro Bowl invitation. However, Smith-Schuster has not surpassed the 1,000-yard mark since that standout season, and he’s eager to regain that form.

In the 2022 season, he played a key role in helping the Kansas City Chiefs secure a Super Bowl title. After spending a transitional year with the New England Patriots, he returned to Kansas City in 2024.

Now, Smith-Schuster has signed a one-year deal to remain with the Chiefs for the upcoming season.

Last year with the Chiefs, he began the season as a depth option, but his performances steadily improved before a hamstring injury sidelined him for several games, limiting his impact down the stretch.

Heading into the new season, Smith-Schuster rejoins a Kansas City offense that no longer includes DeAndre Hopkins. This could present an opportunity for him to solidify a role as the third receiver behind Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice. However, he will likely face competition from Hollywood Brown for playing time.

Nevertheless, this receiving corps could emerge as one of the most balanced and deepest in the league.

The Kansas City Chiefs, coming off a tough Super Bowl loss to the Eagles, will be looking to reclaim their spot atop the NFL.

With Smith-Schuster back in the fold, they will aim to rebuild their offensive firepower and make another run at the championship.
