Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has dabbled in acting over the last few years as he’s set up his transition into his post-football career once he retires from the NFL.
Kelce hasn’t starred in any blockbuster hits, but he landed a small recurring role in the FX show “Grotesquerie” and a guest role in Adam Sandler’s “Happy Gilmore 2.” But it may not be long before Kelce has to get used to sharing the big screen with his girlfriend Taylor Swift.
The 14-time Grammy winner has done some acting previously with small roles in movies like “Valentine’s Day” and “The Giver,” but a new report indicates that Swift is being targeted for a starring role in a major movie franchise.
Multiple news outlets are reporting that Swift is being considered for a major role in the Marvel Universe, and according to noted Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman, the “Shake It Off” singer is allegedly “meeting with several Hollywood studios” after showing interest in “revisiting her acting career.”
Richtman also mentioned that Swift is in talks for a “superhero role,” though no details have been disclosed about which character Swift has her eye on, though he also revealed that Swift met with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and that the MCU is interested in Swift for a potential leading role.
Many on social media started speculating that Swift would be an excellent choice to star in Dazzler, a mutant who first appeared in X-Men who can convert sound vibrations into light and energy beams.
The speculation about Swift joining the Marvel Universe began after the release of “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which stars Ryan Reynolds, the husband of Swift’s estranged friend Blake Lively and was directed by Shawn Levy, who’s also one of Swift’s personal friends.
