Fran Fraschilla on Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla’s coaching evolution

You may have noticed that Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla has grown in that role considerably since taking the helm at the start of the 2023-24 NBA season. Better set plays, better rotations, better game management, and better overall schema on both ends of the basketball court have been the hallmark of the Rhode Island native this season.

And if you were among those who have taken note of the Celtics coach’s growth helming the team, you are not alone. Longtime league analyst Fran Fraschilla spent some time talking up Mazzulla’s growth as a coach on a recent episode of the New England Sports Network’s “Hold My Banner” show with cohosts Travis Thomas and Ountae Campbell.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about Mazzulla’s coaching chops.
