The Boston Celtics may be the deepest team in the NBA right now.
Last week it was Payton Pritchard and Derrick White setting an all-time NBA record for three point shows, with both going 40+ for points in the same game.
The next game Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown put the Lakers to the sword, while Al Horford emerged as the biggest star of the game, with Kristaps Porzingis still sitting out.
On March 10 a different star stepped up, with Sam Hauser going for 33 points. He also had 6 rebounds, in the 114-108 win over the Utah Jazz.

Joe Mazzulla loved the trust in Sam Hauser
Sam Hauser really took off after half-time, as his 11-23 night actually began with him going 1-7. He ended going 9-19 from three point range. Seven of his threes came in the third quarter.
Speaking post-game, coach Joe Mazzulla explained that he enjoyed seeing Sam Hauser’s confidence.
Even more so, he loved the confidence the Celtics teammates had in Hauser too, that they kept going to him despite his early misses.
Mazzulla was quoted via NBA media: “Once you see a couple go in, the rim gets a little bit wider for a shooter. You just try to keep letting it fly.
“There’s no shot that he shoots that we think is a bad shot. So I think it was great that even when he was 1-for-7, the team was still looking to find him, and I thought he was great in that third quarter.
“But to me, I think he’s a straight shooter. He understands his work ethic, he does the same process every day, whether he does this or whether he goes 1-for-7.”
Sam Hauser career best
An undrafted pick-up in 2021, Sam Hauser just enjoyed the best game of his career with 33 points.
It is almost a year exactly since his previous best. Hauser scored 30 points on March 17 2024 against the Washington Wizards.
His best game of the 2024-25 season up until this one was a 20-point haul against the Pistons back in December.
