Mbappé and Vinícius Humiliate Lamine Yamal, the Fact that Stings Most in Barcelona

Barcelona’s important revelation of a fact with which they have realized their inferiority

Throughout the season, Barcelona haven’t stopped praising every action of Lamine Yamal. The young Barça promise has caught the attention of many who consider him the best player in LaLiga. However, this statement is far from reality after the revealing statistic in which the Spaniard hasn’t fared well.

During this LaLiga campaign, only three players have achieved more than 10 goals and created more than 35 opportunities. Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior comfortably lead this list over the third, Raphinha. The revelation of this top 3 has made it clear that Lamine Yamal isn’t being the player that Barça claim he is.

Being surpassed even by one of his teammates, it’s evident that Lamine’s level really isn’t a big deal. This has been a hard blow to Barcelona, causing Barça to return to their reality where they are under the enormous shadow of Real Madrid.

A Shocking Statistic

At just 17 years old, Barcelona have been responsible for inflating Lamine Yamal’s image. Despite his good performances in the Euro Cup, this performance hasn’t translated to LaLiga. This has been demonstrated by the numbers he has achieved, where in 2,920 minutes played, he has only managed 11 goals and 16 assists.

Numbers that fall far behind Mbappé’s 29 goals and 5 assists or Vinícius’s 19 goals and 12 assists. Even against Raphinha, the Spaniard hasn’t managed to stand out, with his Brazilian teammate achieving 25 goals and 18 assists.

These statistics along with the revelation of the top 3 have made it clear that Lamine Yamal really isn’t an out-of-this-world player. The amount of praise he has received is due to the work Barcelona have done to try to improve his image.

The Merengue Supremacy

With fewer and fewer matches to play, it’s quite evident that Vinícius and Mbappé are superior to Yamal. Despite not having as much attention as the Spaniard, both the Brazilian and the Frenchman have been more decisive this campaign.
