The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and with the marquee weekend of the offseason less than two months away, the hype and excitement surrounding this year’s event is already heating up.

Over the next several weeks, we’re going to take a look at some position groups in this year’s class while examining a handful of names to know. Let’s start with the offensive tackles.

Six Names to Know

Depending on where you look, the various experts from around the web have identified a handful of players who are widely considered the top offensive tackle prospects in this year’s class.

Here’s a look at six players to know.

Will Campbell – LSU

Measurables: 6-foot-6, 319 pounds with 32 5/8-inch arms

Snapshot: Campbell started 38 games over the last three seasons, logging at least 800 snaps at left tackle in each campaign. He yielded just four sacks in that time, including just two across 558 pass-blocking snaps in 2024. Campbell is the consensus top tackle on the board and will likely be taken somewhere in the top 15 picks.

Big Board Rankings:

Expert Analysis:

NFL.com: “Campbell has ideal height, bulk and athleticism for his position. In pass pro, he stays square, bends well and keeps his hands in tight…In the run game, he can wash defenders on down blocks and he stays attached to/through the whistle…He is just scratching the surface of his potential and should start at tackle for a decade, provided he stays healthy.”

Armand Membou – Missouri

Measurables: 6-foot-4, 332 pounds with 33 ½-inch arms

Snapshot: The Tigers’ starting right tackle since late in the 2022 campaign, Membou – who didn’t allow a sack across 411 pass-blocking snaps last year – put the league on notice with an outstanding performance at the NFL Scouting Combine. A tremendous athlete, Membou led all offensive linemen in the broad jump (9 feet, 7 inches) while ranking second in the 40-yard dash (4.91 seconds) and fourth in the vertical jump (34 inches). Additionally, Membou’s vertical jump was the second-highest by a 330-pound prospect at the Combine since 2003.

Big Board Rankings:

Expert Analysis:

NFL.com: “Membou is a thick/square right tackle prospect with long arms. In pass pro, he explodes out of his stance and shoots his right hand to stab opponents before reworking both hands to control. He can bend and redirect smoothly. He does a good job of staying square throughout the down…While some teams might view him as a guard, I have no doubt he’s a starting-caliber tackle after getting a chance to see him compete in person.”

Kelvin Banks Jr. – Texas

Measurables: 6-foot-5, 315 pounds with 33 ½-inch arms

Snapshot: Banks recorded 2,774 snaps at left tackle for the Longhorns over the last three seasons, surrendering just four total sacks in that time while starting 39 consecutive games. He yielded only one sack (and just two quarterback hits) on 538 pass-blocking snaps in 2024, winning the Outland Trophy and the Lombardi Award for his efforts.

Big Board Rankings:

Expert Analysis:

NFL.com: “Banks is a thick, sturdy left tackle. In pass protection, he launches out of his stance and shows the ability to sink and bend his knees. He keeps his hands inside and is patient with his punch…I like his core foundation of strength/agility.”

Josh Simmons – Ohio State

Measurables: 6-foot-5, 317 pounds with 33-inch arms

Snapshot: A player with significant experience at both right and left tackle, Simmons was in the midst of a strong year in 2024 before suffering a season-ending knee injury in October. He yielded just one quarterback hurry (and no sacks) across 158 pass-blocking snaps prior to the injury. Simmons was the Buckeyes’ right tackle in 2022 before taking over on the left side in 2023.

Big Board Rankings:

Expert Analysis:

NFL.com: “Simmons is a gifted left tackle prospect. He was having an outstanding 2024 campaign before suffering a season-ending knee injury in October. He has excellent size, movement skills and balance…What he put on tape this fall should generate plenty of optimism about his chances of becoming a quality starting left tackle in the NFL.”

Josh Conerly Jr. – Oregon

Measurables: 6-foot-5, 311 pounds with 33 ½-inch arms

Snapshot: A starter at left tackle for the Ducks in each of the last two seasons, Conerly allowed just one sack across 523 pass-blocking snaps last season. Chad Reuter from NFL.com cited Conerly as one of the “winners” from the Combine, calling him one of the “smoothest movers” among offensive linemen at the event.

Big Board Rankings:

Expert Analysis:

NFL.com: “Conerly has an athletic frame with solid bulk and long arms. He lined up at left tackle for the Ducks. In the pass game, he pops out of his stance with quick feet and is patient with his hands. He can cut off speed rushers and effectively redirect versus counters…He has the tools to develop into a solid starter in time.”

Aireontae Ersery

Measurables: 6-foot-6, 331 pounds with 33 1/8-inch arms

Snapshot: A Kansas City native who attended Ruskin High School, Ersery was Minnesota’s starting left tackle in each of the last three seasons. He earned “Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year” honors in 2024 after allowing just one sack across 419 pass-blocking snaps.
