NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has reported (and Arrowhead Pride has confirmed through a source) that the Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed their MIKE linebacker Nick Bolton to a three-year contract worth $45 million.
The #Chiefs are keeping their star LB home: Sources say playmaker Nick Bolton and KC are in agreement on a deal to keep him with the team that drafted him.

When the NFL’s “legal tampering period” begins on Monday — the fifth-year star’s 25th birthday — Bolton will not be among the linebackers being offered a contract to join another team.
According to the MMQB’s Albert Breer, Bolton’s contract is a “flat” deal that will pay him $15 million in each season. The first two seasons of are guaranteed.
It’s been clear the former Missouri player — whom Kansas City acquired in the second round (58th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft — wanted to stay home.
“I’ve been there for seven years,” he told our Pete Sweeney after the Super Bowl. “It feels like home. Welcomed me with open arms as a little 18-year-old with short hair, no facial hair. Let me go through growing pains and find out my own identity — and it reflects home.”
Now it will remain his home.
We now estimate that the Chiefs are between $19.2 million and $21.2 million over the salary cap — probably $21.2 million over.
