Taylor Swift fans are losing it over a track from Lady Gaga’s latest album Mayhem, convinced that Swift had a secret hand in the project.
The song in question, “How Bad Do U Want Me”, has been setting off alarm bells in the Swiftie community, with many claiming they can hear Taylor’s signature touch in the background vocals and production.
Taylor’s Voice or Just Wishful Thinking?
Since Mayhem dropped, Swifties have taken to social media to break down every beat of “How Bad Do U Want Me”, and many are convinced they hear Taylor’s voice. One user wrote, “I always hear Taylor when I listen to this song.” Others, however, are certain it’s all Gaga, with one saying, “It’s clearly just her voice layered. Wishful thinking, guys.”
Another theory making the rounds? That Swift secretly wrote the song. “The production? The vocal style? The lyrics?? It’s screaming 2014-2019 Taylor,” one fan posted.
Gaga and Swift, A Musical Power Move?
While the two Grammy-winning artists have never worked together, there’s definitely mutual respect. Gaga previously gushed about Swift in Vogue, saying she’s “cheering her on” and gets emotional watching her success. Swift has also backed Gaga publicly, most notably in June 2024, when she defended her against pregnancy rumors, calling the speculation “invasive & irresponsible.”
Inside Source Calls BS on the Rumors
While fans are running wild with theories, an insider told Page Six that Swift had nothing to do with the song. The source shut down the rumors, saying claims of a secret collab are “false” and “not true.”
Despite the denial, the debate rages on. Swifties continue dissecting every note, and unless Gaga or Swift make an official statement, the theories aren’t going anywhere.
What do you think, is Taylor hiding in Gaga’s “vault,” or is this just wishful thinking?
