BREAKING NEWS: Luis Enrique Fumes After PSG’s Defeat, Blames Liverpool Star for Costing Them the Match!

Luis Enrique Issues Warning to Liverpool, Insists PSG Were Unlucky in First-Leg Defeat

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has sent a strong message to Liverpool ahead of their second-leg clash, claiming his team was unfortunate not to secure victory in the first leg.

PSG head into the return fixture at Anfield trailing 1-0 after Harvey Elliott’s late strike secured a dramatic win for Liverpool at the Parc des Princes.

Despite dominating much of the game, PSG were unable to find the back of the net, largely due to an outstanding performance from Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who denied key chances from Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué.

Enrique Confident PSG Can Overturn Deficit at Anfield

Despite the setback, Enrique remains optimistic about PSG’s chances of turning things around in the second leg. Speaking after the match, he expressed frustration with the result, insisting Liverpool were fortunate to escape with a win.

*”A comeback at Anfield? Of course, we can do it. We’re going to do it,” Enrique declared. “The result was very unfair. They had one shot and scored. Their best player was the goalkeeper. It’s a bit strange. I’m very proud of my team—we were far better than Liverpool.”

While Liverpool have enjoyed an impressive season, Enrique’s comments highlight PSG’s frustration with how the match played out.

With the Ligue 1 giants dominating possession and creating numerous chances, they will feel they should have been in a stronger position heading into the return leg.

The second leg at Anfield promises to be a thrilling encounter, with Liverpool looking to hold their advantage while PSG aim to complete a dramatic comeback. The big question remains—will Arne Slot’s side withstand PSG’s pressure once again, or will Enrique’s men get the result they feel they deserved?
