After a devastating loss of a three-peat at the Super Bowl, Travis Kelce is keeping his head held high
But what does Taylor Swift think about his decision to not retire?
Travis formally announced that he’s planning to play for the Kansas City Chiefs for the 2025 season. He talked about how the Super Bowl affected his decision process. “I mean it’s a pretty cool way to go out, but I still have this love for the game,” Travis said on his podcast New Heights.
“I think I would have thought about it more if we would have won…100% the ending of that game, I feel like I owe the guys that I come into the building with a whole lot more effort and focus. I just don’t know what it was during that game, man. I wasn’t at my best.”
Swift was supporting her man from the bleachers (ahem, suite) at the Super Bowl, but how does she feel after his big decision?
How did Taylor Swift react to Travis Kelce’s retirement decision?
Taylor Swift is clearly happy for her beau for staying in the game, but she had some reservations according to a source to RadarOnline. “She wants to get married and start a family, and now is the time,” the source dished.
“Privately, she’s hoping Kelce will retire, but she’ll support him through another year of football if that’s what he wants.”
A source also told the site that his Super Bowl loss made them reevaluate life choices since it has “been a real dose of reality” and “their fantasy bubble has been popped.”
Travis went on the record about how he considers Kansas City his home and that he’s not ready to leave it all behind.
“I love so many people in Kansas City – in that facility, in the community – and it’s home for me now. I don’t want to leave that life yet,” he said on his podcast New Heights.
“I’ve put in a lot of hard work, and I’ve put in a lot of focus into being the best that I can for KC, and last year it didn’t end well for us. I feel like there’s a responsibility for me to play out the contract that I initially signed, to give Kansas City and the Chiefs organization everything that I got, and that’s what I’m gonna do.”
Though Travis might be living the life in his mansion, he’s open to looking at some real estate with his girlfriend.
“When they have time, they want to look at real estate,” a source told Us Weekly, adding that they’ve “talked about exploring buying a home together.”
