Taylor Swift is the only musician who’s ever earned over a billion dollars for a concert tour.
The “Fortnight” singer achieved this unprecedented feat after putting on 149 shows across five continents for her iconic “Eras Tour,” which ended in December after a near-two-year run.
Given the incredible success of her tour, it’s not surprising that some of her peers from the music industry have been turning to Swift for advice as they, too, hope to replicate the “Eras Tour” accomplishments, albeit on a smaller scale.
According to a new report by The Sun, this has been the case for pop icon Katy Perry, who has reportedly hit a significant setback in her career.
Apparently, Perry is having problems selling tickets for her upcoming world tour. This is obviously not an issue Swift encountered throughout her tour, which is why Perry is reportedly seeking advice from the “Karma” hitmaker.
“Katy saw one of Taylor’s shows last year and was excited and inspired by what she saw,” revealed The Sun’s source. “She knows she can count on her to give her some positive feedback.”
The insider also revealed that Perry “was quizzing” Swift about the minute details of her tour, including lights and costume design. The source described Perry’s objective as a “desperate quest” to make her concert tour “remarkable and historical.”
Perry’s “The Lifetimes Tour” is set to start on April 23. She is scheduled to perform in 83 shows across the world.
Swift has, in turn, been receptive to her friend’s call for help. The two have reportedly had “long chats about the intricate details of the show.”
“Taylor wants Katy to succeed and have a great tour, and enjoy her time while on the road, and Katy appreciates that,” said The Sun’s source.
For now, though, Swift is happy to be enjoying the fruits of her labor. It was a demanding past couple of years for her on the road, and she’s now making up for lost time with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The couple reportedly went on a vacation abroad where they had “a really nice time reconnecting” away from the spotlight.
