Nick Frasso was a byproduct of the Mitch White trade in 2022 to clear room on their 40-man roster at the time.

Frasso, coming off of an elbow surgery in 2022, has a fastball that has touched triple digits and possess a slider and changeup that are perfect for the pitching coaches to mold into potential MLB talent one day.

Now 25 years old, the Torrance, CA native finds himself on the cusp of players expecting to get the honor of pitching at Dodger Stadium one day.

Dodgers Nation’s Doug McKain caught up with Frasso at spring training and the two discussed what his goals are for this season, and his confidence level coming off a slight setback in his development.

“Tons of confidence,” Frasso said to McKain. “In my bullpens, in lives and stuff have all gone pretty well, I like where I’m at, I feel like I’m in a good spot moving forward.”

Frasso also spoke on what the rehab process has been like both physically and mentally.

“I mean it just sucks obviously knowing you’re gonna be out the whole year,” said the pitcher. “Like, to begin with, that’s probably just getting over that hump of like you gotta kinda accept it, that you’re gonna be out the whole year.

“It’s never fun. Especially because I was here for most of the summer and it was pretty hot, kind of grimey, you gotta come in here and do your stuff its pretty warm, but I like where we’re at now.”

Frasso took the 2024 season off to rebuild and rehab a shoulder injury to repair a torn labrum in November 2023. Frasso feels as though he is back and better than he was before the injuries.

“I think I’m back where I was, now it’s just like a matter of, I haven’t pitched in a game since ’23, so kind of just getting back in a rhythm of seeing a hitter in the box and getting comfortable with that again,” said Frasso.

“I feel good, I feel like I’m in a good spot.”
