Even though Taylor Swift already wrapped up her Eras Tour, eagle-eyed fans noticed her famous concert run has a surprising connection to the 2025 Oscars.
On Sunday, avid fans and former concertgoers got a sense of déjà vu when they were watching the performances at the star-studded award show at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
While the Grammy-winning singer was not present at the 97th Academy Awards — but her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn was certainly in attendance — several of her backup dancers on tour were there performing on stage.
Several Swifties took to X, formerly Twitter, to point out that they spotted some notable faces during host Conan O’Brien monologue at the beginning of the night.
Some of them pointed out that the dancers who joined Swift every night of her world tour were there sporting wigs in the style of the comedian’s signature quiff and donned butler-inspired tuxedos.
One fan tweeted a screenshot of Sam McWilliams and Jan Ravnik on stage and wrote: ‘Oh my! Just noticed, two of #TaylorSwift #ErasTour dancers are working at the #Oscars.’
Other fans commented that they noticed some other dancers who have worked with Swift — Sydney Moss, Taylor Banks and Tori Evans — were also there.
Many noted that the dancers were also a part of Margaret Qualley’s dance for the Bond tribute segment.
As for Swift, sources claim the singer-songwriter is busy spending quality down-time with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, following the conclusion of her world tour and his Super Bowl loss.
Last month, an insider told Us Weekly that their relationship is expected to thrive now that both of their schedules are less jam-packed.
‘There’s no way to have a relationship when they’re all over the place with work,’ a source said in mid-February after Kelce’s big game.
‘It’s going to be easier now to find time to go over plans and make sure everything aligns.’
When Swift was on tour in 2023 and 2024, several of her dancers’ charismatic stage presences won them their own fans.
One fan-favorite dancer is Jan Ravnik, who caught Swifties’ eyes when he made an appearance in The Eras Tour movie.
And following the release of The Tortured Poets Department, Ravnik also stepped in for Post Malone while performing on stage during their duet Fortnight.

A few months ago, he gave a shoutout to Swift on her 35th birthday as he gushed about working with her on The Eras Tour.
‘We’ve created memories. We’ve shared laughs and tears along the way. I am not [the] same person I was two years ago and I can easily say these were the best years of my life,’ he wrote at the time.
McWilliams also penned a sweet post about working with Swift on her record-breaking world tour.
‘If you would’ve told 19-year-old me that I was gonna be on a tour, let alone a WORLD tour, I would’ve s*** my pants. It has always been my dream to go on tour and travel the world, but I never thought that it would happen at 19.
‘Thank you to everyone that helped guide me through these crazy amazing two years. What a dream it was.’
