BREAKING: Jimmy Butler Goes ‘Above and Beyond’ For Warriors in Ways He Never Has Before

After demanding a trade from the Miami Heat, Jimmy Butler seemed to indicate that the only acceptable landing spot would be the Phoenix Suns. However, the Golden State Warriors rolled the dice, parting ways with Andrew Wiggins and other assets to add the disgruntled star into the fold.

Since then, the Dubs are 5-1 and Butler has averaged 20 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists. He has been stellar at getting to the rim and has the Warriors back in the playoff race.

“He does feel like this organization is better than any other organization he’s been a part of,” said Shams Charania on ESPN. “But I’m telling you it’s different this time. I haven’t sensed the same feeling he’s had when he went to Philly, when he went to Miami. This is different for Jimmy Butler going to Golden State. He’s staying late for shootarounds. He’s staying late for practices. He’s spending so much time in the training room, the meal room. He’s going above and beyond to ingratiate himself with the Warriors right now.”

Since entering the league, Butler has elevated the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, and Heat. However, only in Miami did he seem to be satisfied with his team, and he led them to two Finals appearances.

Perhaps on his fifth team, he can finish the job.
