It’s impossible to ignore Stephen Curry’s age as he’s set to turn 37-years-old next month. The generational superstar helped change the game of basketball.
The Golden State Warriors are still reliant on Curry, though. The superstar guard, even at his age, is leading the club. After the team’s hot start to the 2024-25 NBA season, his supporting cast started to regress.
Curry needed help, and the Warriors were quick to do so. General manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. went out and landed Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat.
Since Butler made his Warriors debut, the club has posted a 5-1 record. They are now 30-27 after a recent 126-102 win over the Dallas Mavericks.
Adding Butler into the lineup — providing more scoring gravity — has made the game easier for Curry, who has been superb as of late.
Against the Warriors, Curry scored 30 points, and he did so in just three frames of play after a 16-point third quarter. The generational guard has been remarkable since adding a co-star at the deadline.
Curry made NBA history in the Warriors’ recent win
By scoring 30 points through three quarters in the Warriors’ recent win, Curry has now surpassed that point total in three quarters in the most games in NBA history, according to @StatMamba on X.
“Steph Curry now has the most games in NBA history with 30+ PTS in less than 30 MIN,” @StatMamba shared.

This shows that Curry remains one of the top players in the league, being able to accomplish such a mark despite being 36-years-old.
Not only does the Warriors guard remain one of the best in the NBA, but it shows how incredible his career has been to this point. Curry is one of the most explosive players to watch, and not because he has a high-flying athletic ability, but because he can score in bunches with his elite skill.
