Pop star Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is arguably the most polarizing person in the NFL.

Some fans don’t seem to mind that the “Blank Space” singer has made frequent appearances at Chiefs games and sometimes overshadows what happens on the field, but others have made it known they’re not a fan of how much attention Swift commands on NFL airwaves.

While Swift is beloved among the Chiefs community, she’s not quite as well-received by other fan bases, especially the Philadelphia Eagles – the team her family is a fan of and the one she grew up supporting.

Swift was loudly booed by those Eagles fans when she was shown on the Jumbotron at the Superdome in New Orleans when the Chiefs and Eagles played in Super Bowl 59 two weeks ago, and since that moment, Swift has seen her popularity drop, at least on social media.

According to a report from the New York Post, Swift has lost approximately 144,220 followers on Instagram since the Super Bowl.

And while that number may not matter much for Swift, who still has 282 million Instagram followers, it still drew some pretty animated responses – good and bad – from fans on social media.

“NFL fans really don’t care about her,” one user replied.

“Maybe Taylor got booed at the Super Bowl because there were more Eagle’s fans and they were booing her for being a traitor by switching from supporting the Eagles to rooting for the Chiefs,” another user proclaimed. “Between the Super Bowl and the current Hollywood drama she’s entangled herself in, it’s no wonder!” another user commented. “These followers were as they say ‘the dads, brads and chads’ who were at the game booing her,” one fan wrote.

“She literally does not follow ANYONE on instagram herself, she just posts for her work and for fun. I can guarantee she gives 0 [expletive],” another added.

“Then they weren’t true fans to begin with. If you’re a true fan of someone you’re there not just for the highs, but the lows!” a third fan stated.
