Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift just might have a big vacation coming up. As in a life-altering one that ends with a marriage proposal and a ring on the Grammy winner’s finger. Kelce, 35, may reportedly propose to Swift, 35, on an upcoming vacation.

Those close to Kelce and Swift think a proposal could happen on vacation

According to an Us Weekly report, Kelce may get down on one knee when he and Swift jet off on a romantic getaway.

With the NFL season over (Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs lost in the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles) and Swift taking it easy after wrapping her Eras Tour in December 2024, they’re taking some time together.

Which, an insider claimed, may or may not include a marriage proposal.

“Those close to them actually think [Travis may do it] while they’re on vacation,” one source said. “Taylor wants to go to multiple places in Europe and somewhere tropical.” A second source noted that both Swift and Kelce are ready to get more serious in their relationship. “They are both on the same page about taking the next step,” they said.

It seems Swift’s feelings on a potential engagement have changed in recent months. In late 2024 the outlet reported Swift was in no rush to get engaged.

Travis and Taylor have to time to ‘go over plans’

With football season over and the Eras Tour wrapped, “madly in love” Swift and Kelce are happy to have more time to spend together, the first source said.

“There’s no way to have a relationship when they’re all over the place with work,” the insider said. “It’s going to be easier now to find time to go over plans and make sure everything aligns.”

What will the NFL star and Grammy winner do during their downtime together? The second source revealed that Swift and Kelce plan on staying in Kansas City, Mo., for a few months. (Kelce has a sprawling home there.)

“They both want to rest and decompress,” the source said, noting “Neither of them have huge commitments coming up.”

That will reportedly include fewer nights out and more time at home together. “They do love going out to dinner and getting drinks with friends,” the first source said. “But when they get the chance to be home together, they are very low-key.” Swift “cooks a lot for Travis. It’s his love language.”

A potential engagement depends on the future of Kelce’s football career

When the “Fortnight” singer and three-time Super Bowl winner get engaged depends partly on what’s ahead for Kelce career-wise. Namely, whether or not he decides to retire or continue playing with the Chiefs, the first source said.

Following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss to the Eagles, Kelce is said to be “reconsidering what he wants moving forward. He may come back next season.”

He also shared on his “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce, that he’s not making any “crazy decisions” at this point.
