The first NBA game after the All-Star break was the Los Angeles Lakers facing the Charlotte Hornets in LA. Surprisingly, the Hornets got the 100-97 upset victory on Wednesday night as LeBron James missed two three-pointers in the final seconds.
Late in the third quarter, Austin Reaves was ejected after receiving his second technical of the game.
Reaves expressed frustration after a no-call and he proceeded to yell at the official, which led to his second technical and ejection.
After the loss, Reaves spoke about the sequence in the press conference.
“As soon as I heard the whistle I kind of knew what had happened. I felt like it was quick,” Reaves said. “I gotta do better. I just don’t know the fine line.” Austin Reaves gets EJECTED.

Lakers head coach JJ Redick said he “didn’t get a good explanation” after the call, per LoJo Media. Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves (15) © Gary A. Vasquez-Imagn Images © Gary A. After that, the Hornets went on a run and the third quarter ended with Charlotte on top, 69-66. So, it was quite the swing, and neither Reaves nor Redick is too thrilled about the technical.
