According to Inter Live, if Inter Milan’s manager Simone Inzaghi is brought in to replace the fired Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham may be in the driver’s seat to acquire Marcus Thuram. Spurs are now in 14th place in the Premier League standings and have been eliminated from all domestic cup competitions as a result of their poor play this season. Fans are becoming more and more irate with the team’s performances with only three victories in their past eight games, and if things don’t improve quickly, Postecoglou may be fired.
The club’s executives have conducted a manager search, and Italian reports have connected Inzaghi to a move to England. The Italian maestro could be ready to bring one of his best players, Thuram, to Tottenham if such a trade were to go through. Tottenham is considering a move for Thuram, a forward for Inter Milan. If Inzaghi is hired as manager, the North London team may try to sign the 27-year-old.
Thuram is believed to be “top” on Tottenham’s list of attackers they are looking to add this summer, according to the Inter Live report. Since the 27-year-old’s days at Borussia Monchengladbach, Spurs are thought to have had a sustained interest in him. Thuram is apparently valued at almost €80 million (£66.7 million) by the Nerazzurri, meaning Tottenham would have to pay a record transfer fee to get the Frenchman.

Since joining the San Siro in 2023, Thuram has performed admirably under Inzaghi. He has scored 14 goals and provided four assists in 32 appearances across all competitions this season, earning him the title of “phenomenal” and making him one of the top attackers in the world of football. After spending £65 million last summer to get Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth, it is unclear if Tottenham’s senior management will be prepared to pay another large transfer cost.
After a humiliating 3-0 loss to Fiorentina at the beginning of February, Inzaghi was believed to be under pressure. Fabrizio Romano, however, has stated in his private GIVEMESPORT email that “nothing will be discussed now” about the 48-year-old’s condition, as the club is now entirely focused on finishing the season with a win.
