Breaking: Utah Jazz interested in Lakers’ Jalen Hood-Schifino?

According to Jake Fischer on his latest live stream on the Blecher Report App, the Utah Jazz have interest in Jalen Hood-Schifino.

The Los Angeles Lakers recently declined Hood-Schifino’s third year option which makes this interesting. Fron Fischer:

Jalen Hood Schifino's final status for Lakers clash vs. Suns

He will be playing in the G League this year, and he’ll have plenty of opportunity to showcase himself, both in the G League in general and at the G league showcase when the entire league descends upon Orlando in December … Atlanta had an interest in him in that talk with Dejounte Murray last year.

Utah, I believe, has shown interest in him.

Hood-Schifino was an interesting prospect in the 2023 draft and could provide Utah another young prospect to look at. He showed promise as a pick and roll ball handler but hasn’t been able to shoot the ball well in the league.

Either way, if Utah figures something out, they could bring on a very low risk option that could potentially find his way with more time on the Jazz. It also wouldn’t put the Jazz in any sort of risk with hurting their draft stock.
