Veteran NFL wide receiver Kadarius Toney has broken silence following news of his disturbing arrest in a since-deleted social media post.
On Wednesday, news emerged that Kadarius Toney was arrested for allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend in metro Atlanta, Georgia. The former 2021 first-round pick has been charged with aggravated assault and obstructing/harassing 911 calls.
The audio of the disturbing phone call has since been released. The woman, who made the call on Jan. 14, claims that Toney attacked her while she was holding her daughter.
Per TMZ Sports, Toney took to Instagram to break his silence on the arrest in a post that he deleted minutes later. Toney’s Instagram story showed him in a hat and mask with a caption that read, “Mfs say anything when they think they right” before quickly taking it down.

Kadarius Toney, who turned 26 last month, was released by the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of final 2024 roster cuts. He was eventually picked up by the Cleveland Browns but failed to log a single catch in three game appearances.
Toney was a first-round pick (20th overall) by the New York Giants in 2021. He appeared in just 12 games with the organization before getting sent to the Chiefs ahead of the 2022 trade deadline.

Kadarius Toney’s Career Has Mostly Been A Giant Disappointment
Toney may have two Super Bowl rings on his resume, but the Florida product has been a giant bust in terms of individual production. Take away his big performance in Super Bowl 57 over the Philadelphia Eagles, and Toney’s entire career has left a lot to be desired.
Through four seasons, Toney has just 82 catches for 760 yards and three touchdowns.
