WATCH: Steph Curry-Klay Thompson Moment Moves Fans to Tears Before Warriors-Mavs

The new-look Dallas Mavericks are hosting the Golden State Warriors at American Airlines Center on Wednesday night. Apart from two Western Conference hopefuls battling it out on the court, this matchup also presented itself as an opportunity for a reunion of sorts between former teammates.

Before tip-off, Steph Curry got the chance to catch up with ex-Splash Brother Klay Thompson as the Warriors star was warming up.

Unfortunately, the video did not contain any audio, which is why the fans have no idea what the two were talking about during their brief conversation. Be that as it may, the mini-reunion was enough to move Warriors fans to tears after seeing their two former superstars together again.

“He should still be here 😭😭” a comment on X read.

“Bring back the days when they were on the same team 🥲” said another.

“🥹🥹” reacted a supporter.

“really miss them,” admitted a fan.

“💔” commented another.

“damn…” a reaction read.

It has now been seven months since the Warriors decided to part ways with Thompson, thereby putting an end to Golden State’s dynasty era that produced four NBA championships.

However, what is clear is that for more than a few fans, Thompson’s departure after 11 years with the team remains fresh in their hearts and minds. So much so, that a simple interaction between the two former backcourt partners has produced emotional reactions from the Warriors faithful.
