Taylor Swift has received plenty of compliments on her cooking skills, but Kylie Kelce held back on eating one of the pop star’s home-cooked meals for an understandable reason.
“It was at home,” the media personality, 32, said of a double date with husband Jason Kelce, brother-in-law Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor, 35, on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast on Wednesday, February 12.
Host Alex Cooper then asked Kylie if the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker had cooked a meal for the group.
While the “Not Gonna Lie” podcast host said Taylor did whip up a meal for them, Kylie didn’t really partake in the food.
“I don’t know that I really ate the meal,” she said. “This is going to sound terrible. I didn’t really eat the meal because I was eight weeks pregnant.” Kylie is currently pregnant with baby No. 4, a girl. She and Jason, 37, also share daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 23 months.
Taylor and Travis, 35, began dating in July 2023 after he attended the “Fortnight” singer’s Eras tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
During her podcast interview, Kylie also revealed how she and Jason learned about the relationship, which was kept a secret from the public for months until Taylor attended her first Chiefs game in September 2023.
“I’m assuming your family was, like, getting told this in some capacity?” Alex, 30, asked, to which Kylie responded, “We were not.”
“I will say we knew before everyone else knew,” the soon-to-be mom of four added, but she said the news “did not hit the group chat.” “Jason and I found out together.
But, we knew before, like, they hard launched with her going to a game,” she said.
However, Kylie did not elaborate on exactly how she and her husband found out Taylor and Travis were dating.
Kylie later met Taylor for the first time when the Chiefs took on the Buffalo Bills in January 2024, and she took a moment to shut down rumors surrounding the meeting on the podcast. “People are deeply disturbed by this.
There was, like, all this stuff leading up to it [the meeting] about, ‘Well, why haven’t they met, they’re avoiding each other.’
I’m not avoiding anyone,” Kylie said, adding that she was open to meeting “anybody,” especially “someone that Travis is dating.”
Kylie’s podcast interview came days after she and Taylor were spotted dining with friends and other family members at Gianna Restaurant in New Orleans on February 8, one day before the Chiefs’ loss against the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2025 Super Bowl.
Taylor and Kylie watched the February 9 game unfold from a private suite at the Caesars Superdome, along with Jason, his and Travis’ parents, Taylor’s family and some of the pop star’s friends.
Travis was seen heading back to the pop star’s suite following the game, which ended with a 40-22 score.
After meeting Taylor for the first time, Kylie gushed about the Grammy winner being a “positive and exciting light” for football because her presence at games has led young girls to also become interested in the sport.
“My dad only had two daughters, so I was the stand-in for watching football with my dad. I always found it to be the most fun experience, watching with him to cheer on the Eagles.
It was the Sunday activity,” Kylie said in a January 2024 interview with Glamour. ”
So, to see that other young girls are getting involved and that they want to sit down and cheer with their dads or they’re finding their own reason to be interested, it’s only something that can be painted in a positive and exciting light. It’s just another way to encourage girls to appreciate sport.”
