While Swift and Brittany have rooted for the Chiefs together in the past, an insider told DailyMail.com that Brittany was “instructed” to keep “her distance” from Swift at Super Bowl LIX.

“Brittany kept her distance from Taylor because of Trump attending the game,” the source noted. “She was instructed to do so.”

President Donald Trump has notoriously had things to say about Swift, as Swift publicly endorsed Kamala Harris during the presidential election. While Brittany hasn’t publicly endorsed Trump, she’s “liked” Trump’s Instagram posts about the GOP platform.

“That could have been a PR nightmare if the two were seated together when Taylor was booed,” the source noted. “And everyone was forewarned that Trump would likely reference Taylor in one way or another and he did.”

The insider added that it was in Brittany and Swift’s “best interests” that they didn’t sit together during the game “given Trump’s attendance and his past remarks” about Swift.

Another source gave insight into Brittany and Swift’s complex public dance. “Brittany is a pawn in Trump’s game to get into her circle,” they said. “Trump is well aware of their friendship, and he is very divisive. Any way he can take a cheap shot at Taylor, he will. This is likely why Brittany kept her distance.”

“Taylor displays a range of expressions while watching Travis play — most of them conveying discomfort,” Honigman said in an interview with Lucy Parker, Digital PR Lead for Casino.ca. “When the crowd erupts in boos, she appears visibly uneasy. Her lips curl downward, and her eyes dart from side to side as she mouths, ‘What’s going on?’ This reaction reflects confusion, dismay, and even a hint of hurt.”

Honigman noted that even before the crowd booed the pop star, Swift looked “tense.”
