BREAKING: Kevin Durant “has no desire in a reunion with the Warriors – he does not want to go back,”

Kevin Durant 'không có mong muốn' tái hợp với Warriors thông qua thương vụ chuyển nhượng, theo hình ảnh báo cáoIn the midst of rampant rumors concerning Kevin Durant’s possible trade destinations after the Feb. 6 trade deadline comes to a close, new reports indicate that the two-time NBA Finals MVP and future Hall-of-Fame inductee has made it clear that he prefers to remain with the Phoenix Suns.

“Sources tell me that Kevin Durant has no desire in a reunion with the Warriors,” ESPN’s Shams Charania shared during a Wednesday afternoon appearance on NBA Today.

“He does not want to go back to the Warriors, where he won two championships, won two Finals MVP’s.”

Durant’s ultimate declination of any wish to be dealt to Golden State comes at a bad time for the Warriors organization, as new updates have shown that the franchise has pushed all of their focus towards re-acquiring the legendary scorer for another championship push next to two-time league MVP Stephen Curry.

With only one year left on his contract after the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign, Golden State may now be hesitant regarding a Durant deal, as it’s not guaranteed in any way, shape or form that he’d re-sign with the franchise in the summer of 2026.

In 39 appearances with Phoenix this season, the 36-year-old Durant is contributing 26.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists while connecting on 52.4% of his opportunities from the field.

As talks seemingly have advanced between Golden State and Phoenix, the Warriors reportedly discussed dealing their four-time champion and 2017 Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green in a potential Durant trade, showing just how far their front office was willing to go in order to complete a transaction.
