The 2025 Super Bowl is right around the corner, but it’s Travis Kelce‘s romance with Taylor Swift that’s on everyone’s mind.

Kelce, 35, took part in multiple press conferences in the days leading up to the big game, but before the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, February 9, Kelce answered burning questions about his personal life.

“We both love to manifest things, for sure. You can’t say it isn’t real because we are here, right?” Kelce said about Swift’s unwavering support. “Whatever she was doing, it helped.”

Swift, also 35, and Kelce quietly started dating during summer 2023 after he publicly revealed his crush on the singer following her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City. Two months later, Swift began regularly cheering the Chiefs tight end on from the stands.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she told TIME in December 2023. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

Are There Proposal Plans?

When asked if he plans to pop the question at the Super Bowl, Kelce played coy, saying, “Wouldn’t you like to know?”

A source previously told Us Weekly that the couple aren’t in any rush to get married.

“Travis and Taylor have no plans on getting engaged this summer,” the insider said in summer 2024 about false engagement rumors. “Things between them are going amazing, but they haven’t even been together for a year yet and still have so much to learn about each other.”

What Is Travis’ Favorite Food Made by Taylor?

“Oh, she’s quite the cook,” he noted. “I’m a breakfast guy, man. I would say her homemade Pop-Tarts are unbelievable.”

Kelce isn’t the only one that has praised Swift’s Pop-Tarts. Channing Tatum said on a July 2024 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that Swift is a great host, adding, “She’ll make you dinner and whip it up no problem. Like homemade Pop-Tarts. Ahead of the big game, Kelce praised Swift for her professional accomplishments. “I better hold up my end of the bargain,” he noted. “She’s up there being the superstar that she is and never taking no for an answer and always working her tail off. I better match that energy, for sure.”

During a press conference, Kelce was asked where Taylor’s family loyalties lie, since her dad, Scott Swift, has long rooted for the Eagles.

“I don’t know her to have the [Eagles] fandom,” Kelce replied. “I know her father has the Philadelphia fandom — as an Eagles fan.”

Kelce and Scott did not discuss which team he’ll be rooting for. “But I think he’ll be wearing red,” the athlete added before sharing Taylor’s allegiance. “She’ll be all for the Chiefs this time around, that’s for sure.”

Kelce certainly seemed confused by the question, asking, “Who is not a Swiftie?” Elsewhere during the press conference, Kelce once again revealed his favorite album and songs from Taylor’s discography.

“The Tortured Poets Department,” he said about his girlfriend’s most recent album. “I may be a little biased. ‘So High School’ and ‘The Alchemy,’ there’s a few there that are banging.”

As for when Taylor plans to rerelease Reputation (Taylor’s Version)? Kelce could “not confirm nor deny” that he knew details about the highly anticipated drop. A separate fan asked him to make sure it gets released and Kelce confirmed he would see what he could do before doing the heart signal.
