Taylor Swift, the undisputed queen of easter egg-laying, once again stole the sartorial show at last night’s Grammy awards with an ensemble that paid tribute to her beau, Travis Kelce.
Taking to the red carpet, Swift sported a scarlet Vivienne Westwood mini dress, which she accessorised with a delicate Lorraine Schwartz chain draped over her left thigh that featured a jewelled red ‘T.’ Fans were also quick to note that the colour of her ensemble could be a reference to her own album title or, perhaps more fittingly, a nod to Kelce’s team colour.
Swift, who was one of the most-nominated artists at the Grammys this year with six nods, tying her with newcomers Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter, took home no awards but made sure to celebrate her fellow stars as they accepted their own.
As Beyoncé finally won the Album of the Year Grammy for Cowboy Carter, Swift, celebrated her friend’s long-awaited achievement by toasting champagne with Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z, as Beyoncé brought their daughter, Blue Ivy, onstage with her to accept the award.
Earlier in the night, Swift also presented the Best Country Album award to Beyoncé. The two friends had a moment onstage, embracing briefly before Beyoncé gave her speech.
Kelce was not in attendance at the Grammys due to a training conflict ahead of the Super Bowl, with Kansas City playing the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9.
‘I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for,’ Kelce explained on The Pat McAfee Show in 2024. ‘Unfortunately, I’ve got to get ready for this big ol’ Super Bowl we got in a week.’
