ESPN Makes Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce Announcement Before Super Bowl..

The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl on Feb. 9. For Jason Kelce, who spent his entire 13-year NFL career with the Eagles, this matchup creates an awkward personal situation, as his younger brother is Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The 37-year-old ESPN analyst addressed the elephant in the room on Wednesday’s episode of their “New Heights” podcast.

“Here’s the biggest thing. Obviously, you’re my brother. I’ll always root for my brother. That’s the reality of it,” Jason said. “Even though I’m decked out in Eagles gear, I’m always rooting for Travis.” However, there are numerous players on the Eagles team “that feel like extended family to me, especially my former linemen,” Jason noted.

“I’m rooting for Philadelphia and I’m rooting for Travis Kelce… No matter what on game day, I’m going to be happy for one of those sides and I’m going to be sad for the other side.”

The future Hall of Famer, who hosts ESPN’s flagship series, “They Call It Late Night With Jason Kelce,”shared exciting news regarding Travis on Jan. 31.

ESPN announced that the 35-year-old All-Pro will make his debut on “They Call It Late Night” on Feb. 1. The series, which features Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, as an announcer, airs at 1:30 a.m. EST.

Kylie, who remains a die hard Eagles fan, is also struggling with her team allegiance ahead of the Super Bowl. The “Not Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce” podcast host delved into the complicated situation on the latest episode.

“Obviously this time when the Eagles play the Chiefs, it is a little bit different because my husband is retired from the Eagles,” she said, referring to the 2023 Super Bowl when the Chiefs defeated the Eagles 38-35.

“That being said, I’m so happy and proud of Travis and the Chiefs accomplishments,” Kylie continued. “Travis has been there for his entire career. He has worked so hard and put in so much time that I truly am, as always, cheering Travis on. I love him, he’s my family. So I will always cheer on Travis’ accomplishments and hopefully successes. That being said, I was raised to bleed green.”

“The plan is to go to the game and to cheer. I will add on—any other week when I see Chiefs fans, I will tell them ‘Go Chiefs.’ I will not be saying that for the next two weeks. I just can’t bring myself to do it. This is hard, I don’t like this. It’s very exciting, but I’m mad about it.”
