The NBA trade deadline is on Thursday, February 6 at 3 p.m. ET. Until then, plenty of rumors will circulate regarding some big stars in the league.
One prominent name on the trade block is Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler, who is suspended indefinitely for violating team policies.
Another one is Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner, whose name has essentially been in trade discussions over the past few years.
Once again, the Los Angeles Lakers have been linked to Turner, and those rumors sparked even more after the injury to Anthony Davis. In the latest odds from Bovada, the Lakers have emerged as the favorites for Turner.

Los Angeles Lakers: -120 Sacramento Kings: +325 Dallas Mavericks: +600 Golden State Warriors: +600 Miami Heat: +650 A recent report came out that the Lakers have inquired again about Turner, and the asking prices for Jonas Valanciunas and Nikola Vucevic are out of LA’s price range.
The Kings are second on this list, which is interesting given the latest rumblings about guard De’Aaron Fox potentially being traded.
Turner signed a two-year, $40.9 million extension with the Pacers in 2023, so his deal is set to run out at the end of this season.
For that reason, teams might have a difficult time trading a lot of assets for Turner, especially with him heading for unrestricted free agency this summer.
On the year, Turner is averaging 15.6 points with 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. He still plays at a high level and would be a big addition for the Lakers, or any other team able to land him.
