BREAKING NEWS: Bukayo Saka Returns to Training and Set to Feature in the Next Game!

Fixtures Pile Up as Arsenal Face Fresh Injury Woes

Arsenal’s injury troubles continue as they try to stay in the Premier League title hunt with Liverpool.

Despite the return of William Saliba and Myles Lewis-Skelly in their gritty win over Wolves on Saturday, the latter saw red during the match and could face a suspension unless the decision is overturned.

The Gunners were also without key players, including captain Martin Ødegaard and Mikel Merino, who were both ruled out of the trip to Molineux.

Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu remain sidelined, while injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus have left Arsenal thin up front.

Injury Updates at Arsenal:

  • Martin Ødegaard
Ødegaard was a surprising absentee for the Wolves match, having played 90 minutes in the midweek win over Dinamo Zagreb. He traveled to Molineux with the team but was sent home due to illness. Mikel Arteta confirmed that Ødegaard was “nowhere near fit to play.” Arteta may opt to save him for the crucial Manchester City match rather than risk him in the upcoming Champions League clash with Girona.
Potential return: Manchester City (h) on Sunday, February 2.
  • Mikel Merino
Merino was also missing from the Wolves match squad due to an injury picked up in training. After playing the full 90 minutes in the Aston Villa draw, he was on the bench against Dinamo Zagreb before the issue arose. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear to be a serious concern.
