Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s very public relationship has involved the pair going out to dinner many times. Whenever they visit a restaurant the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and “Down Bad” singer follow two—very simple—rules.

Travis and Taylor’s restaurant rules: privacy and minimal staff interactions

Per The Sun, Kelce and Swift follow two simple rules when they go to a restaurant to make the experience normal. Or at least as normal as possible for one of the biggest celebrity couples in the world.

It starts and ends with Swift’s security. “Taylor’s security calls the restaurants beforehand to request a private room for the couple,” a source told the outlet. That’s the first rule. Now for the second. “They request workers not serving them in the private room to refrain from interacting with them or asking for photos to avoid drawing attention.”

Going out to eat didn’t always involve these restaurant rules though, at least not for Kelce. “Before Travis began bringing Taylor to the Kansas City spots,” the source said, “he would socialize more with staff and guests of the restaurants.”

The flurry of cameras and crowds that inevitably follow Swift and Kelce when they go to a restaurant doesn’t bother the Grammy winner.

“Over the years, I’ve learned I don’t have the time or bandwidth to get pressed about things that don’t matter,” Swift told Time in 2023. “Yes, if I go out to dinner, there’s going to be a whole chaotic situation outside the restaurant. But I still want to go to dinner with my friends.”

Swift and Kelce have been spotted at many restaurants since they started dating in the summer of 2023.  Among their many date-night spots is Prime Social, a rooftop cocktail lounge in Kansas City, Miss., that Kelce reportedly rented after Swift attended her first Chiefs game in September 2023.

Other Kansas City haunts for the couple include the holiday-themed pop-up bar Miracle and the Argentinian restaurant Piropos. As for New York, Swift’s current home base—which may become Nashville, Tenn., in the future—she and Kelce have been spotted at multiple restaurants. They include The Corner Store, Nobu 57, Catch Steak, The Waverly Inn, Lucali, Meduza Mediterrania, and Torrisi (via People).

The two have also been spotted at restaurants abroad during Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour, which wrapped in December 2024. (Swift introduced Kelce to her dad, Scott Swift, at a restaurant in Argentina.)

Kelce and Swift also enjoy cooking together

On nights when the “Fortnight” singer and NFL star aren’t having dinner in New York or Kansas City, Swift and Kelce like to whip up meals together at home. (Here’s hoping they someday co-host a cooking show together.)

During a 2024 press conference, Kelce shared that he “thoroughly enjoy[s] cooking with her. So it’s something I’d rather just keep personal” when asked what they cook together.

Kelce went on to open up about two baked goods Swift is “great” at making: Pop-Tarts and cinnamon rolls. The two sweet treats are mainstays in the pop star’s baking repertoire. She’s been known to make the former for Kelce’s teammates and bring the latter to pre-game meals.
