The Kansas City Chiefs enter the AFC Championship Game as slight odds-on favorites against the Buffalo Bills. However, that doesn’t mean they are sure-fire winners.
While Patrick Mahomes has a losing record against Josh Allen in the regular season (4-1), the Chiefs QB has been dominant in the playoffs and is 3-0 against his Bills counterpart on the big stage.
Not to mention that the Chiefs are playing at home at Arrowhead Stadium, where they went 8-0 in the regular season.
With that said, it’s understandable why many think the Kansas City franchise will come out on top once again. They know how to win at this time of the year, and as they pursue a historic Super Bowl three-peat, they are more motivated than ever.
Despite that, though, ESPN’s Matchup Predictor points to a different outcome. While the Chiefs are the betting favorites, the ESPN machine gives them only a 45.4 percent chance of winning against the Bills.
Buffalo, meanwhile, has a 54.6 percent chance to emerge victorious in the contest.

For what it’s worth, several ESPN experts agree with the prediction that the Chiefs are going to lose.
As reported earlier, ESPN analysts Kalyn Kahler, Eric Moody and Seth Walder all have the Chiefs losing in a tight encounter.
Both Kahler and Moody see the game ending with a winning margin of three points or less, while Walder envisions it finishing with a nine-point victory for the Bills.
It remains to be seen if the Bills can live up to the expectations and actually take down the Chiefs. As for Kansas City, all the doubts and negativity should be added motivation for them.
