The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills will battle in the AFC Championship game with a spot in the Super Bowl at stake for the two NFL powerhouses.
With the Chiefs chasing a historic three-peat and the Bills looking to make their first Super Bowl in the Josh Allen era, there are many storylines to follow.
We often discuss how the players feel in the lead-up to a big game like this and how they deal with the pressure, but what about the coaches?
“I don’t know if it’s a pressure, I think it’s just that you’re excited to get going,” head coach Andy Reid said. “Just like the players will be excited to get going, you’re excited to get going, I mean it’s great competition when you get to this level and that’s why you’re in the business, best against the best.”
The Chiefs and Bills clash also has another interesting side-plot that is rather odd.
Buffalo has won the last four regular-season meetings against the Chiefs and is the only team this season to beat a Kansas City team with all its starters. But the Chiefs have won the last three playoff meetings.
So both will have confidence that they can beat each other and with all the chips pushed into the middle of the table, we will see if the Chiefs can maintain their undefeated streak over Buffalo or if Allen and Co. can finally break through.
The players are ready, and the coaches are excited about this “best of the best” matchup for a spot in the Super Bowl.
