Taylor Swift has a big weekend ahead as boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs aim to reach their third straight Super Bowl, but it got started on a bad note on Friday.
Many of the singer’s fans spoke out after the music streaming service Spotify unexpectedly dropped two of her re-recorded, “Taylor’s Version” albums.
Her debut album, “Taylor Swift,” was missing from the service’s catalog along with Swift’s 2017 album, “Reputation.”
As the New York Post’s Page Six noted, the unexpected move led to some frustration among fans and theories about the reason behind the disappearance.
Though her debut album reappeared within a few hours, “Reputation” was still not available to stream late in the afternoon on Friday.
Swift has re-recorded several of her albums after her former label, Big Machine Records, sold the master recordings.
Swift had a big year in 2024, releasing the new album “The Tortured Poets Department” in April and concluding her record-setting Eras Tour later in the year.
She had more business to tend to this week, announcing the release of a “Lover” cardigan.
