THE STAGE IS SET! AFC championship game prediction: Who will win Chiefs vs. Bills NFL playoff rematch?

Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen are set to meet again with a trip to New Orleans on the line.

The Bills hung on to beat the Baltimore Ravens 27-25 to earn a trip to Kansas City to face the Chiefs next Sunday. Buffalo forced three turnovers and scored 10 points of the takeaways as they hung on to beat Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.

The Bills ended Kansas City’s undefeated bid in Week 11. Allen was responsible for 262 passing yards, one touchdown, one interception, plus 55 rushing yards and a rushing TD in the win.

However, Buffalo has never defeated a Mahomes-led Chiefs team in the postseason. The Chiefs sent the Bills home in the divisional round last postseason.

Who will win the AFC championships? USA TODAY Sports predicts the conference championship games:

AFC championship game prediction

(1) Kansas City Chiefs vs. (2) Buffalo Bills

The Bills picked off Patrick Mahomes twice and sacked him twice when the teams squared off in Week 11 at Buffalo. The Bills had a league-best plus 24 turnover differential during the regular season.

Mahomes was limited to under 200 passing yards as DeAndre Hopkins and Travis Kelce were both held in check.

The Chiefs, who are undefeated at home this year, will get revenge in Kansas City. Mahomes, Kelce and Chris Jones, a trio bound for the Hall of Fame, will make game-changing plays and lift Kansas City to another Super Bowl.

Mahomes has led the Chiefs to seven straight AFC championship games. The pressure of the moment won’t be too intense for a Mahomes-led Chiefs team. The star QB is looking for his fifth Super Bowl appearances and the Chiefs are going for an historic third consecutive Super Bowl championship.

Mahomes enters the game 3-0 versus Allen and the Bills in the postseason.

Score prediction: Chiefs 26, Bills 22

When is the AFC championship game?
