BOSTON — Roman Anthony and Kristian Campbell headline the oncoming run of elite prospects ready to help the Red Sox in 2025.

Both players produced seasons in the minor leagues that saw them each jump three levels in meteoric rises. The Red Sox should be able to count out both players as contributors at some point in 2025. Current Boston veterans know that reality and intend to embrace the incoming youth wave.

“They’re so mature,” Rob Refsnyder told reporters during “Fenway Fest” on Jan. 11. “Credit to the Red Sox just getting them ready. Knowing what to expect in a market like Boston, you know? They’re super talented and work really, really hard. I think they have all the tools to get better. I really anticipate them just hitting the ground running. I think we understand they’re going to be there close. You gotta try to build that relationship and make them feel as comfortable as possible. They’re going to be huge for us this year. It’s cool to see the fan base get excited about them because they should. They’re super exciting talents.”

Triston Casas made his MLB debut in 2022 and came up with fellow young players such as starting pitcher Brayan Bello. The Red Sox should look to those established players to guide the way for new prospects on the adjustment process in a major market such as Boston.

“They all have really great heads on their shoulders,” Casas told reporters. “Their maturity for their age is lightyears beyond where it should be. They’re all really hungry as well. They want to make an impact this year right after spring training. Whether it’s making the team, whether it’s coming up in May or June. They want to be a part of that culture. They definitely fire us up as older players, especially those veteran guys. They see how hungry the young guys are and it makes them want it more. They’re ready to go.”

“There’s going to be that factor of the noise they’ve never dealt with,” Casas added. “Whether guys like to make it a big deal or not, being auditorily stimulated is a factor in the game. It’s something they’re going to have to control and understand and fail. It’s going to be ugly. I’m sure there’s going to be failure attached to the start of their careers. That happens with a lot of great players. For them, I wouldn’t be surprised if they hit the ground running as well. Those guys are well-equipped. I feel like if they come up at the same time, they’re going to have each other to lean on.”

The Red Sox open the 2025 regular season against the Texas Rangers on March 27 where Anthony and Campbell could play to way to roster spots for the game.
