Warriors Could Stun Lakers And Get Two Jazz Players In Hypothetical Trade Scenario

Sexton and Kessler are expected to be the prime trade pieces for the Jazz this winter, with their cost-controlled contracts and solid production proving enticing to contenders.

The Warriors can send fringe-rotational players with solid draft assets to outmaneuver other reportedly interested teams like the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Warriors Land Two Key Reinforcements

While he’s having a tough year in Golden State, let’s not forget he was an All-Rookie First Team selection and has a high ceiling still. Gary Payton II is averaging 4.7 points and 2.9 rebounds but his value in this deal is as an expiring contract. The same applies to Kevon Looney, who’s averaging 5.1 points and 6.8 rebounds.

Controlling a Warriors first-round pick can be lucrative if these moves also fail to increase their ceiling in any measurable way. This is a deal for draft compensation and a talent like Podziemski playing out to be a future franchise player for the team.
