Taylor Swift sweetly surprised her pals Brittany and Patrick Mahomes with a ‘handmade’ gift for the pair’s newborn baby girl, Golden Raye.
On Friday, a source close to the 35-year-old sensation told Page Six that she personally wove a ‘handmade baby blanket’ for the Kansas City Chiefs star and his wife’s bundle of joy.
‘Taylor is so looking forward to meeting Brittany and Patrick’s baby girl and she couldn’t be more thrilled for her friends,’ the source told the outlet.
They added, ‘Taylor’s aunt knitted her a baby blanket when she was a child so it’s always had a special meaning for her and something she wanted to do for her friends.’
Patrick and Brittany, 29, welcomed their child on Sunday, January 12, and shared the news via social media with a black and white photo of Golden’s feet and a sign revealing her name.
But this isn’t the first time Swift has gone out of her way to craft a special gift for a pal’s baby.
In fact, the insider revealed the GRAMMY winner ‘did the same thing’ for Kansas City Chiefs WAG Chariah Gordon and her fiancé Mecole Hartman Jr. back in early 2024.
‘It’s become a tradition for Taylor, something she loves doing and something that can’t be bought. It comes from the heart,’ the source heartwarmingly revealed of the pop megastar.
Taylor also hit like on Golden Raye’s birth announcement post earlier this week in reaction to Brittany and Patrick’s new arrival.
The Cruel Summer singer has been close pals with the former soccer player and the quarterback since October of 2023, months after she started dating Patrick’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce, 35.
Brittany and Patrick also share Sterling Skye, three, and Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon Mahomes II, two. And their unique, metallic naming tradition has gained attention from fans.
The NFL royalty are high school sweethearts. They started dating in March 2012 while attending Whitehouse High School in Texas, even attending their prom together a year later.
Just weeks before Brittany was slated to give birth to their third child, Patrick had joked that he hoped his wife would welcome their little one during his team’s bye week before the NFL playoffs.
After beating the Pittsburg Steelers on Christmas Day, the athlete said: ‘I told my pregnant wife I was gonna get her the number one seed so we can go have that baby. So we got that number one seed.’
The high-profile pair got engaged in September 2020, just months after Patrick had won his first Super Bowl with the Chiefs.
‘You don’t think it’s going to be nerve-wracking, especially when you’ve been with someone for so long, but before you get on that knee, your heart’s racing, I promise you that,’ he shared, recalling the moment her dropped to one knee.
Later that month, they announced they were expecting their first child. The pair eventually got married in March 2022 in Hawaii, after the birth of first child, daughter Sterling.
Patrick also recently hinted that he is open to the possibility of becoming a father for the fourth time with his wife of two years.
The Tyler, Texas native claimed he is ‘good with three [kids] for right now’ but is hopeful about welcoming another with the blonde vixen ‘down the line.’
‘My goal was always three. So we’ve had three,’ the Super Bowl champion said on Tuesday during a press conference. ‘We’ll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on.’
‘It’s cool to welcome another baby girl in our family and see how our kids react to her,’ he shared. ‘Having baby sissy and stuff like that.’
