Tyler Herro, Heat take down Pistons on Monday

The Herro family had plenty to celebrate on Monday night, as the Miami Heat topped the Detroit Pistons 106-98 to advance to 2-1 through their first three games of the 2024-25 campaign. Herro was third among Heat players in scoring, notching up 19 points on seven of 20 shooting. He also assisted on six shots and grabbed four rebounds in the winning effort.

Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier led the way for the Heat in the win. Butler notched a team-high 23 points on seven of 11 shooting with seven assists and four steals, while Rozier posted 20 points, five rebounds and three assists on seven of 16 shooting.

After a slow start to the season in Miami’s season-opening loss to the Orlando Magic on October 23, Tyler Herro has rebounded with two strong performances in back-to-back Heat wins. In Miami’s first win of the season on Saturday, Herro recorded 22 points, five rebounds and five assists on seven of 15 shooting.

In three games this season, Tyler Herro is the Heat’s second-leading scorer behind Terry Rozier. He has averaged 18.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists, shooting 42.2%.
