UPDATE: Chiefs Andy Reid says CB Jaylen Watson has a chance at playing in Divisional Round

The Kansas City Chiefs return to action this Saturday for another matchup with the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round. The long layoff between meaningful games will likely result in the return of numerous injured players, including a potential Jaylen Watson appearance.ư

Watson has been out since Week 7 after suffering a broken fibula and landing on injured reserve for most of the season. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke with reporters on Tuesday about the potential of his starting cornerback being ready in time for Saturday’s postseason game.

“I kind of want to see this week and see how he does, but (from) what I’ve seen so far, it’s been good; he’s in good shape,” said Reid. “I’m not telling you he can play a whole game, but I think he has a chance of playing. We’ll see.”

Watson was a key member of the defense, playing 91% of available snaps in six games; He has 32 tackles and six passes broken up, serving as a premium cornerback alongside All-Pro Trent McDuffie. The former seventh-round pick has improved over the years, making a name for himself in Steve Spagnuolo’s system.
