Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are enjoying a first-round postseason bye this weekend as the AFC’s No. 1 seed.
This well-deserved break comes at an ideal time for Mahomes and his family. Last week, the superstar NFL quarterback revealed that his wife, Brittany, is expected to give birth to their third child on Sunday.

“Brittany says I’ve been stressing her out too much this season,” Mahomes said during an interview before the Chiefs’ Christmas Day win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. “So, I gotta try to not put so much stress on her through these football games and get the bye. “Hopefully, God works the right way and maybe we can have the baby on the bye week somewhere and then everything will work out perfectly.”
