Travis Kelce might be head over heels for girlfriend Taylor Swift, but that doesn’t mean he’s automatically willing to possibly walk down the wedding aisle during football season.

During the Wednesday, January 8, episode of his hit podcast “New Heights,” Travis, 35, and his brother Jason Kelce answered an inquiry about fall weddings as part of their “No Dumb Questions” segment.

“I actually don’t know people who’ve gotten married in the fall, because the all the weddings I’ve been to — my friends always do it in the summer,” the tight end said in response to a caller who revealed his girlfriend wants to get married in the fall despite his insistence that he is “gonna be at a football game.”

“You guys gotta be more in sync on things,” Travis added, voicing his concern for the caller’s relationship dynamic and willingness to find common ground. “You gotta be willing to, you know, find a weekend where the team isn’t playing anybody good.”

The Super Bowl champ went on to say that he’s “seen weddings in f–king February, I’ve seen weddings everywhere, but the fall… I’m not so sure if the fall is a good wedding season.”

Though Travis and Swift have been mum about their own relationship plans, others in their orbit have been only too happy to chime in on where they think the pair’s romance is headed.

In an interview with The Mirror published Friday, January 3, former NFL corner and pro-bowler Adam “Pacman” Jones said Travis and Swift “are going to get married” this year, “after football.”

Jones also took issue with the conspiracy theory that the pair are not in a “real” relationship. “I think they are in a real relationship,” he said. “I know Trav, because he went to UC. His love [is genuine]. When he says he is with somebody, he is with somebody.”

Of Travis’ most recent ex-girlfriend, Jones added that “he was with her and he found something better and he moved on.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Jones also praised the two for how their relationship has elevated Travis’ position on and off the field. “I love it,” he said. “I wish I was that smart when I was young. What I’m saying is you see how many marketing deals he is getting. You see how many jerseys he’s selling.”

Travis and Swift were first linked in September 2023, after the “Anti-Hero” singer was photographed at a Kansas City Chiefs game. In an interview for TIME’s Person of the Year, Swift, 35, opened up about her relationship for the first time.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she said at the time. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple.”
